Microsoft's Xbox Live counterpart for the PC is getting a much needed facelift, according to the GFW head Kevin Unangst. After many missteps and bad press, Microsoft is looking to mend it's ways.
The improvements, coming very soon (although no date has been put), will remove the Gold and Silver tiers to the service, enabling all to use the gold-only servers and TruSkill matchmaking without having to pay the yearly fee.
A version of the Marketplace is also in the pipeline, which will hopefully freshen up the by now very stale content that came with the service, still the same from it's inception.
For those who payed for the service, Microsoft has also said they will be giving out refunds.
