It's been fun, and it's been hard. I put a lot of my time and life into this place, although that isn't immediately obvious to some of the people here. This isn't a snap decision. After checking a message center for six months and not finding much of an incentive to keep checking it, I'm going to stop pining for the good old days. And they were good. Hell, it was the most engaged I'd ever been for a website. But the fact is, that is gone. It might come back, but I'm not going to stand on the sidelines continually clicking the "remove all button" hoping for a comment that isn't a Halo screenshot. I realise it's a two way street, and that you have to give to get back, but I've given enough. I realise that I'm often abrasive, but if people can't see past the face I put on, and judge me on my record, my contributions, and the hope I had for this place, then staying here really has become little more than a dirty habit. I never claimed to be larger than life, but if people want to have that as their representation of me, then so be it. I never once for a second thought myself capable of designing a website - but damn, I wanted to help. I wanted to help so bad, that even though I knew I couldn't, I helped anyway. I hope it works out for you, $spot, I really do. I know you poured your soul into this place, just as you poured it into dA. But I'm not going to pour mine. To me, it's just a website that I go to. I'm not a contributor, I'm a consumer. And if the consumer isn't pleased, the consumer leaves.
